Privacy Policy

Effective 1 November 2026

This privacy policy applies to the MazeFeel app for iPhone, together with any related services operated by Lev Kosyk (collectively, the "Application"). Lev Kosyk is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".

In short: the Application has no ads and no account. It does not ask for your name or email, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell or share your data for advertising.

Information Collection and Use

To balance the levels, the Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record anonymous usage statistics. These may include:

• The screens of the Application you open, when a level starts and ends, and which settings change
• The time and date of your sessions and the time spent in the Application
• Whether the in-app purchase offer was shown, and whether the full game was bought or restored
• A random identifier for this installation, your device model and iOS version
• An approximate location (country or region) that Google derives from your device's IP address

This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization are turned off, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected.

Information That Stays on Your Device or With Apple

• Progress. Your progress, results and Daily Maze streak are stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account. Settings stay on the device. The Service Provider cannot see any of it.
• Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, the achievements you earn are kept by Apple in your Game Center account, under Apple's privacy policy.
• The purchase. The in-app purchase is made and handled by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider never sees your name, Apple Account or payment details.
• Notifications. If you turn on notifications (Settings › Notifications), they are scheduled on your iPhone. To time them, the Application remembers on your iPhone when you usually play the Daily Maze. This never leaves your iPhone.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Application does not use cookies, advertising pixels or tracking across apps and websites. Google Analytics for Firebase uses an identifier stored on your device for the anonymous statistics described above.

Your Choices and Consent

If your iPhone’s region (Settings › General › Language & Region) is a country of the European Union, the rest of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, no statistics are sent until you allow it when the Application first asks. Elsewhere, statistics are on by default. Either way, you can turn them on or off at any time in Settings › Usage Statistics. Turning them off stops further collection; it does not affect processing carried out before.

Legal Basis

Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, the usage statistics are processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in Settings › Usage Statistics. Elsewhere, they are processed on the basis of the Service Provider’s legitimate interest in balancing and improving the Application. Emails you send are processed to answer them, on the basis of that same legitimate interest.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at support@mazefeel.com. Because the statistics are not linked to your identity, the Service Provider may need the installation identifier to find them; you can also stop collection yourself in Settings › Usage Statistics. You may also object to or ask to restrict the processing, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. The Service Provider does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, contact the Service Provider at support@mazefeel.com.

If you write to the Service Provider, your email address and message are used only to answer you, and are not used for marketing.

Third Party Access

Only the anonymous usage statistics described above are sent to an external service, Google Analytics for Firebase, to help the Service Provider improve the Application. Google processes them under its own privacy policy:

The Service Provider may disclose information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• with their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information the Service Provider discloses to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

International Data Transfers

Google may process the usage statistics in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, appropriate mechanisms are used:

• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
• Adequacy decisions or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms
• Your consent, where required and legally permitted

Data protection laws in other countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Data Retention Policy

• Usage statistics: kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months, then deleted.
• Emails you send: kept as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 12 months after the conversation ends, unless the law requires longer.
• Data on your device and in iCloud: kept until you delete the Application or the data in your iCloud settings.
• Data required for legal compliance: retained as long as required by applicable law.

Children

The Application is suitable for all ages. It does not ask anyone for personal information and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided the Service Provider with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at support@mazefeel.com, and it will be deleted.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and keeps the data it processes to a minimum. Data sent to Google Analytics for Firebase is encrypted in transit.

Data Breach Notification

If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, providing information about the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.

Changes

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect.
